This festive season, we are supporting the Children's Hospice South West!
Providing a caring, loving and secure environment is at the forefront of what we do at Banana Moon Barnstaple. However, we know that there are children in our community who are living with life-limiting conditions and so this festive season, we really wanted to show our support and to help brighten the lives of the children and families under the care of Children's Hospice South West.
Back in November, our wonderful manager Lucie liaised with the hospice and arranged for the staff team to have a tour of Little Bridge House in Fremington. It was such a privilege to see the hospice and to learn more about the amazing work that they do; our team were all so humbled and touched by the experience.
After our visit to Little Bridge House, we began donating and collecting donations of toys and sensory resources to gift to children staying at the hospice over the festive season, and today we delivered those gifts! We were greeted by the lovely Sally, one of the incredible nurses and it was so lovely to chat to her about the incredible work she and the other staff do.
We'd like to say a big thank you to everyone who donated, and thank you to our Nursery Manager Lucie for thinking up this heart-warming initiative! We can't wait to see how we can continue to support the hospice in the future!
