After the success of last year's Jubilee party for the late Queen Elizabeth II, we decided to throw a coronation garden party for King Charles. Unfortunately the weather was not in our favour, so we had to celebrate inside and share cakes at drop-off and pick-up, but we still had a great day!

In the run up to the King's Coronation, there was lots of talk amongst the children about the role of kings and queens, celebrations, flags and much more! Therefore we decided to write to the King! We composed a letter with the children, and the children also created drawings and pictures to send. The Full Moons children then went on an outing, to our local post-box to post the letter and drawings.

Time went by and we thought no more about it, until one day we received a reply in the post! We were over the moon (pardon the pun!) The letter consisted of a card from the King as well as a letter from the Head of Royal Correspondence. Lucie shared the letter with the children who were all very excited! Lucie therefore created a coronation-themed display, with the letter we received front and centre.
