Each year, Banana Moon Franchise host an annual awards evening for all of the Banana Moon Nurseries in the network, and this year was even bigger and better than ever!

This year's awards were hosted at the Coventry Building Society Arena with the theme of CARNIVAL! There were feathers, there was sparkle, there were samba drums and dancers - the atmosphere was incredible!

The evening started with welcome drinks, followed by a procession, and a samba and dance performance. We were then treated to a three-course meal and introduced to the evening's host.  The host of the night (which had been kept firmly under wraps) was none other than David Walliams who did not disappoint with his incredibly funny anecdotes and jokes!

After the meal and entertainment, it was time for the highlight of the evening: the awards! There are a number of different awards up for grabs, all of which recognise the amazing work and contributions of nurseries and individuals across the network.

In both 2022 and 2023 we were absolutely delighted to have been nominated for two awards:

2022: Franchisee of the Year, Nursery of the Year
2023: Social Media User of the Year, Nursery of the Year

and although we didn't win, it was an incredible achievement to have received nominations, from a field of over 50 Banana Moon Nurseries across England, Scotland and Wales.

However, this year, we did one better, receiving nominations for Franchisee of the Year:

KATE & DOUGLAS  from BARNSTAPLE – These two are very much on board with everything Banana Moon. They are proactive, ambitious contributors to the network and promote the Banana Moon brand in unique ways. Kate is currently holding the fort as nursery manager while also expanding her knowledge through further education opportunities.

and also Community Champion - which we WON!

Barnstaple actively support their local community while enhancing the Banana Moon brand reputation. By participating in events like Toddler Fest and the North Devon show, they annually showcase their dedication to ensuring Banana Moon is recognised locally for its high quality. The work this nursery does with their local children’s hospice has a profound impact on many people’s lives at the most challenging of moments.

We had a fantastic evening and we're absolutely thrilled to have received an award, and a nomination, and for being recognised for all our work within the community. We can't wait for next year!
