Because it was such a monumental and once-in-a-lifetime event, we spent time leading up to the jubilee teaching the children about all things royal, the Queen and the significance of a Platinum Jubilee, as well as celebrating!

 In the run up to the Jubilee Bank Holiday and official celebrations, our Early Years Professionals incorporated the theme of the Jubilee into daily invitations and activities, in line with children's developmental needs.

 We set up age-appropriate activities for the children, from exploring the Union Jack flag and its colours, to creating and decorating crowns, we even did some junk modelling and made our very own royal carriage! These invitations and activities sparked lots of discussion and interest in Kings and Queens, flags and their meanings, castles and palaces and much more!

When the day finally arrived, we then hosted a Jubilee garden party in our beautiful front garden! Due to the pandemic and having only opened in 2020, this was our first family event and it was so lovely to see so many parents, children and families! Fortunately the sun shone and we had an amazing day!

We had lots of delicious cakes and treats handmade by our staff, a bouncy castle (which was a big hit with the children AND the staff) and lots of games and activities including: giant connect 4, giant jenga, tin can alley, glitter station, ball pool and soft play, craft table, hook a duck and more! Many of the games were created by the staff and the children, and we all had lots of fun! Check out our social media pages for more pictures!

We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came to the party and made it such a success! It was so good to see so many families join us to celebrate! We’d also like to say an enormous thank you to our wonderful staff team for their enthusiasm, and for all their hard work preparing for the event, including all the baking they did! We hope you all had as much fun as we did, and we hope that you all have a wonderful Bank Holiday weekend! 

And of course, we wish Her Royal Majesty a wonderful Jubilee celebration!
