The weather may not feel like it, but we are already in April and Easter is fast-approaching! With the bank holidays, and the school break, it is a fantastic opportunity to spend some quality time as a family, exploring beautiful North Devon!

We are fortunate to be surrounded by beautiful beaches and landscapes, but also lots of family attractions! Lots of these attractions are putting on special Easter events and activities, so if you’re looking for some inspiration, why not check some of these out?

 
Northam Burrows
Northam Burrows is a fantastic place to visit throughout the year, with the beautiful sand dunes and famous pebble ridge. But did you know, that throughout the summer months the ranger team organise a range of free events suitable for all ages? They’ve got lots planned this year, starting in the Easter holidays, from craft activities to an Easter trail and wildlife trails! Rosemoor Gardens
Rosemoor Gardens is hugely popular with families, due to its large open spaces, beautiful gardens and natural play areas, and if you are an RHS member, then entry is free! Rosemoor are fantastic at putting on family-friendly activities, and this Easter holiday is no egg-ception! Firstly, there is a giant Easter egg hunt! Giant (think taller than a child!) decorated Easter eggs are located throughout the gardens for you to find, and there is even a chocolate prize for finding them all! The Big Sheep
One of North Devon’s top family attractions, The Big Sheep always makes for a brilliant family day out! From indoor soft play, to tractor rides, to live shows, sheep racing and rollercoaster rides, there really is something for everyone! And for Easter, there is even more to offer! As well as the chance to meet the Easter bunny, they have teamed up with Bloomsbury Books, where you can win your height in books by completing the Easter egg hunt! Coombe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park
The popular family-run wildlife and dinosaur is now open again for the season! As well as being home to an array of animals, such as penguins, lions and wallabies (to name just a few) the park also has an indoor playzone, a tomb of the pharaohs, a train ride, a dinosaur museum and over 30 giant animatronic dinosaurs! As well as free animal talks that take place daily, throughout the holidays, there is a dino Easter egg hunt, where you win a prize by finding all 10 egg hidden throughout the park! https://cmwdp.co.uk/whats-on/
